Weekend in St. George

This weekend we headed down to St. George for a weekend of adventures. The boys went mountain biking for the day, the girls had all the cameras so I don't have any pictures of the guys biking... the girls went hiking at Zions National Park. I had never been to Zions, I don't know why since I have lived so close my entire life, but anyway it is Beautiful I got some amazing pictures of the land scape and views. The little animals there must be use to lots of people around because we were able to get really close to a lizard and a squirrel and get a good picture. Dave also went golfing while we were there and the golf course was just as breath taking. We played with an older couple from Vancouver BC, that were down to St. George on vacation. They were really nice and a fun couple to play with. It was so warm down there I didn't want to come back. I am way ready for the summer and getting my first sun burn of the season.
The Golf Course

The Gateway to the Narrows, they had it closed since the water was to high and fast.

The squirrel and lizard that were nice enough to hold still so I could get a good picture.

Someone had piled up a bunch of rocks to look like the arch on the Utah plates.

The lower pools water fall.

Becky and I standing under the waterfalls.
They had these stair cases everywhere to help you get up the mountain that were so cool looking. If I had a hill in my back yard I would put one in.

Happy Birthday Jodi Kaye!

I was so excited when my mom decided to come to Utah for her birthday. We had so much fun shopping and eating at both of our favorite restaurant, Olive Garden. We went shopping for purses that my mom sells on Ebay. It has got to be the best job ever, it is so fun to pic out cute purses and the designer purses that are way to expensive to purchase for yourself, and never have buyers remorse because you sell them. I am excited for the next time she wants to come down to shop again.

Getting ready to go shopping day 2 in Park City :)

Our awesome finds

Super excited with our finds.

This is for you Dad.

What a better way to me make you feel like a new woman then getting your hair done. I didn't do anything drastic just bangs, but I haven't had bangs since 3rd grade. I am still getting use to them but it is a nice change. If you are ever in the mood for a hair cut with some good eye candy go to Forum Salon in SLC, UT and get get you hair cut by Trinity(he looks like Johnny Depp with long hair or for those who love the Hills, Justin Bobby, but clean and dresses better.) those who have been know what I am talking about. It will be the best hair cut and shampoo you have ever had. I was so happy when we moved to Utah so I would have to drive here to get my hair done.

There is nothing better then some good GIRL time.

Amber, Me & Becky

Amber and Skylar came to visit the other weekend to go to the Lincoln park concert, Dave and Jason were both out of town so Skylar was kept busy by the Xbox and the girls had some great bonding time. It would have been even better if Lisa and Nikki where there, one day we should repeat the Mexico trip only this time since we are all married bring our boys. That senior trip was awesome. It was so nice to see Amber.

Golf courses are open

I opened the season right; the weather is finally good enough to allow me to get back on the golf course. Golfing is such a fun sport. There are few reasons why I love golf. First is just being outside on beautiful fields. Golf also is a very laid back sport. The main thing is that it is a sport that I can compete with my self. No matter what, you finish at the same time, so you really aren’t competing against each other you are only competing against your self. And, there is nothing better then hitting a ball 260 yards.

And I get to spend time with Jill, she drives me around on the golf carts and makes me feel like a king.

The Best Vacuum

Ok I have found the best vacuum ever. Before I tell you what it is let me give you some back story. I can only do one chore well. My wife is so good at cleaning; I just cannot keep up with her. It just doesn’t make sense for me to do anything else. So vacuuming is my chore. For the past two and half years I have been using a really cheap vacuum. This vacuum was so bad it blew instead of sucked. It frustrated me so much; it “accidently” broke. So I was able to buy a new vacuum. I figured it was time to buy my dream vacuum. THE DYSON BALL!!!!

It is disgusting how much this vacuum can pick up out of the floor. My mother in-law has to be one of the cleanest people I know. She is so clean that she will vacuum the house everyday. We decided to try it out on her floor. WOW, it picked up so much Rich had to empty the canister four times. This thing is amazing.

The only down side other then price is Jill wont let me take it apart to figure out how it works.

Our Home

I figured since I was showing pics of the latest remolding jobs we have done, I would show everything we have done since we moved in I am just so proud. We have only gotten to the main level but it is almost finished. We plan on doing the upstairs next I think we will start with the master bedroom. We really want to redo the basement and put wood floors down. I think wood is my favorite, Dave really likes tile, but I think it is too cold epically is a basement. Even though our basement is a walk out, it still gets really cold.

Our entire first floor was yellow when we moved in, not a terrible color but it just didn't match anything we had so we painted....... everything including the cabinets. We also added hardware to the cabinets and molding. It made a huge difference I wish I before and after pics. The nice thing about the house is the carpet and floors were almost new so with a couple coats of paint and some decorations the main floor was finished.
I will keep posting pics when we do new stuff, I love painted and decorating I have so many ideas I just want to do them all at once, to bad it takes money to do it. So I just take it one room at a time. I have a really cute idea for nursery so when we decided to have kids I will definitely post that one.
The Kitchen/ Dining Room we never really eat at this table since it is just the two of us we usually eat at the coffee table in the living room.
The living room, I think my dogs love the camera they always end up in the shot.
The hallway, I love this Vogue picture they are old covers of vogue I got the poster a couple of years ago from allposter.com and put it on a canvas with modge podge (love the stuff) they have some great posters you should check it out.
Stairs
Dave works for 3-Form. The are a company that makes designer plastics, you can also put things inside of the plastic layers. These are some of the products we have in our house now. The first one is called crush, it is red glass this picture does not do it justice. The second is a called connection it is fabric strips. Dave hates these ball decorations so he only lets me keep them because the bowl is his product. (and his mom gave them to me and I like them :) You can check out all there products at 3-form.com
